New York Islanders

The New York Islanders were founded in 1972 in Uniondale, New York. The New York Islanders are 1 of 3 teams based in the Metropolitan area of New York City; along with the New Jersey Devils and the New York Rangers. The New York Islanders have had a long standing rivalry against the New York Rangers which has been nicknamed The Battle of New York. The New York Islanders play in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the NHL. The New York Islanders have a team mascot that joins them at all their games called Sparky the dragon.
