The Miami Dolphins, founded by Joseph Robbie, were the 9th team to enter the American Football League, in 1966 with George Wilson in place as coach. The Miami Dolphins are famous for being the only team in the league to have ever have achieved a perfect season. In the space of 6 years, the Miami dolphins advanced extremely quickly, winning the AFC Eastern Division and AFC championships. The Miami Dolphins beat the Washington Redskins with an awesome 14-7 winning score in the 1972 Super Bowl V11 to complete their undefeated record. The Miami Dolphins have since proceeded to achieve a staggering 11 AFC Eastern division championships and 5 AFC titles.
