The Atlanta Falcons were one of the first expansion teams, becoming the 15th team to join the NFL back in 1966. The Atlanta Falcons soon developed a hardcore group of fans, with a record breaking 45,000 season tickets sold for their first season. Now established as one of the NFL’s all time greats, the Atlanta Falcons have achieved many milestones in their glorious career. The Atlanta Falcons won the season in 1971 and they won the first division title in 1980. The pinnacle of the Atlanta Falcons career came in 1998, when they won the NFC championship and earned themselves a trip to Super Bowl XXXIII.
